Which oil for 727 Torqueflite?

I have a 72 Plymouth, Torqueflite 727 automatic trans that needs an oil change. I see lots of conflicting info on here as to what to use, so I apologize if this is redundant with other threads.
Manual says Dexron.
Some say ATF +4 is a better quality replacement.

Thoughts?

Unless it is a new build, you should probably just stick with what is already in it.

My transmission builder "probably the best in the SuperStock / Stock world" says Type "F" or Dexron.

Type F is the best for me. I also use transmission fluid, the 6-speed automatic transmission 1500 Dodge RAM only use ATF+4 which protects from overheating. Here you can read about it https://davesoilchange.com/transmiss...odge-ram-1500/ .It also protects against wear and tear of the gearbox, and makes it easier to use, it is an excellent replacement for conventional oil.
