This is what haappend
out working a construction job and on the way home I got into the throttle full..
then I felt a change in the peddle firmness like a weak spring..
DAMN I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN .
the trany T.V. SHAFT LOSSEND UP AND SLIPPED go figue it has never happend to me and I have never heard of it happening before
well by the end of the week the trany puked out .
yep I burnt it up .
now im off to rebuild it .
im going to get the VIPER parts that PATC.COM installs in their transmissions.
will keep a photo record and post it for all to see...
Though I didnt want to spend my profit on this but CRAP ..
and since its happend a freindly reminder to check your T.V. adjustment.

The quickest way to burn it up, no throttle pressure

Its crazy it only slipped about a inch ...even less . But thats enough I will probbly add the locar T.V cable system and do away with the oem levers and shafts
the real bummer is I could have saved it if I check the linkage at the carb after the peddke pressuer was lighter I ran it for four says with it out of adjustment...the last day when it started to slip it was to late...

Hey all
It's been nearly 3 months
Been working.... Remodeling 5 bathrooms a few paint jobs and a garage.
I have had the tranny out took her apart and now ready to go back in.
Over $1200. In parts.
And a $270 surprise ......

I have been working on her in my spare time though parts have increased in price it took several weeks to save the .
And yes I do have photos
I found several broken parts in the overdrive unit which apparently started a cascading failure now I'm mire convinced that a bearing failed ....I remember. A bang wnen shifting into 4th that had to be its start.
So I will try and post my pics and description.
today I'm installing it but have much to do.
