What clutch and pressure plate

I have a 522 storker motor putting out 550 hp with 700 ft lbs of torque. Tried a centerforce with a kelvar clucth disc came from The Driven Man. Slipped like crazy they won't give me any money back on it. Called them when I first put it in and they said oh yeah it's going to slip some. It will have to break in over 500 miles. After 250 miles still slipping like crazy. Real pissed at them. They claim I didn't tell them it had so much torque. So I am going to have to buy another setup. Any suggestions. I heard the ceramic's are hard to push in and not very good in traffic. They immediately grab without any smoothness to them. So I hate to have to go to a dual friction just because of the cost. Any other suggestions or is this my best bet. And any recommendations on which dual friction would work best at a resonable cost.

Following break in instructions is a wise investment. I personally run the Dual Friction in my street car and it's a great setup. Smooth take-up and low effort (actually my 5 and 9 year old daughters have some trouble with it). I recommend it. What gearbox are you running?

It's a tremec TKO 600 with a strange 60 rear end with 390 gears. What brand and model clutch are you running. Do you have a stroker motor too.

Centerforce Dual Friction. Yep, 500 stroker. I'd be surprised if I were making the torque your motor makes, though.

X2, that's what I run in my white car. Mancini Racing carries them.

What do you mean? I've been beating the hell out of mine for 10 years with a 4000k car, drag radials, and a very healthy 500" stroker. When I say beating, I mean 1,2,3,4 gear full throttle runs, three to four times every time it's out...which is six or so times a week during the warm season (about seven months).

I have called Mcloed and ordered the SXT twin disc. But they are out of stock on parts to build them. I have been waiting 3 weeks now and they say another 2 weeks. Can't wait though.

Awesome I am glad they work for you , my experience has been the opposite , I have seen a number of failures , the shortest of which we installed the clutch on fri & towed the car home sunday with a distroyed C force clutch
