Thank you for responding. I have a mostly stock '55 Dodge tricolor Royal Lancer 2 dr ht, original powerpack hemi, 3 sp/od. Bought, and had installed, the Kanter brake kits, but the car is not safe to drive. I am told the drums are used up, cannot be further improved, & no repro's are available, probably due to lack of demand. I know that somewhere, there are a few with '55/'56 Dodges-Plymouths who have converted to disc brakes. I would like to talk to them, or to those who know of them, or of this problem. I have also been told that my original stock front wheels do not allow enough room for the discs, so probably I need advice on replacement front wheels as well. I would rather not go to discs at all, and am now only seeking to convert the front axle, hoping that will sufficiently improve my braking. Your comments will be greatly appreciated.
