Guys -

So I bring in my 2011 Chally for a wheel alignment, because the camber was noticeably off on the passenger front. Apparently, you need to install an aftermarket kit to adjust the camber.

1. What the hell was Dodge/Chrysler thinking?

2. Anybody do this, seems to be a lot of work, for some thing that should be factory with the car.

3. Any info appreciated.

Mmmmmmmmm Kind of......
Slight adjustments are performed by adjust the Engine Cradle... Larger adjustments will have to be done with installation of an adjustment bolt package.... It should all be cross checked with a 4 wheel alignment machine. And also hope the EHPS (Electro Hydraulic Power Steering) didn't get damaged. "If so Equipped"...
And The there is a Non-SRT8 and a SRT8 setting....

Gets worse. Only ONE wheel is out of camber (negative), so by moving the engine cradle, it will probably mess up the other side.

Have you checked the suspension/ ball joints

Suspension and ball joints are solid. Car tracks and handles correctly.
Have to figure out where/why the camber is off.

How far out did the alignment printout say it was?

I don't have the print out (Mavis), but if you look closely, the passenger side is slightly more negative than the driver's side. A casual glance, and they look fine.

I changed the front tires today, and the passenger's front wheel was slightly out of true. It kinda indicates the wheel may have been hit or got pot-holed before I bought it. (OK, where I live, the pot hole thing could have been me...) Going to have my regular guy take a look at the suspension and see if there's anything I missed.

This is my daily driver and it's always really felt solid, doing about 80 highway miles/day.

have a look at the lower control arm inner bushing and anchor bolt. It is a traveling bushing and if it has been hit, it may be seized on the bolt or smashed.

Guys -

Quick up date. Went over the suspension and everything was intact. Since the car doesn't pull and there's no abnormal tire wear, just going to leave it alone. It hasn't caused any problems in 20K miles, so probably won't.

Camber - Right - -1.35*
STD Specs...


So I agree.... Could look like a lot....

Well, I guess Chrysler knows what they're doing ...
So we're talking ab out a 0.3* difference??? That shouldn't be noticeable.
I have to see if there was a spec sheet generated with the alignment.
