Battery and Upgraded Alternator questions.

Hi,

I have just bought a 1980 Chrysler Cordoba (318-4 Barrel) that didn't come with a battery. I have just loated a Thermoguard bousing, and will bet the J bolts locally. My question is does anybody know the biggest battery that will fit the tray/Thermoguard? The manual for the car lists the biggest battery aa a 550 CA. Most of the batteries are 700-780CCA. Will those batteries fit, and what do I get by going to say, a 750 CCA battery? Is there a possibility that the starter could be damaged?

I will also be putting in a 100A Chrysler Alternator. I assume I will need to upgrade the cables going to the battery to at least the next biggest gauge? This is for a fairly high powered car audio set up. and yes, I already have most of the brackets for the 100A Chrysler Alternator.

You do not need to upgrade any cables to the battery when going to a 100 amp alt

The thermoguards come in different sizes. I have one in my Aspen and I should have ordered the larger battery.
