I have a 72 charger b body I bought for my son. We installed a bulb in the dome light since there wasn't one installed and it drained the battery. Any ideas?

 

Is the light staying on all the time?

 

No. I can turn the dome light on and off by the head light. The light does not come on when I open the door.

 

My guess would be to look for a wiring issues with the door jamb switches.... May try pulling the switches and see if the wiring may have come off the switches or if the switches are any good or just got rusty and not grounded any longer..
