Headlights, tail lights and signals

Need some ideas where to start where my exterior lights are very dim and beat to the engine. I have a new Battery and Alternator.
68 Roadrunner.
Any ideas folks?

Good information there Bob, I've got to replace the generator on my Fairlane and I had picked up a single wire hybrid, Ford front GM back, alts. some years ago.
information should be in there.
