Voltage regulator rewiring

Hi!

A few days ago my 1974 fury blew its stock mopar voltage regulator on the electric shop they replace the bad regulator with one of these but three days ago I noticed that the battery was receiveng a lot more voltage (17.3V @ 2500 RPM) I think the new regulator has died so I bought a new mopar regulator.

Now the problem is that I don't know how the mopar regulator must be wired. The replacement voltage regulator has 4 terminals (IASF) and the mopar just two and according to the schematics one of these is the black big wire from the alternator connector. In the electrical shop the guy just left the alternator FLD terminal unplugged but the alternator has the FLD terminal and another terminal. Which one must be plugged to the regulator?

really the stock volt reg has 3 connections. 2 are on the face of the case with a plastic holder. the 3 rd connection is the ground throu the case, to the car chasie . so if the the volt reg is not grounded good the system will not work right. same thing with the electronic ignition system. here is some pics, of what i think is the one you need.

I agree.... Make sure you have the ground strap from the fire wall and bolted to the back of the cylinder head. or at least some-wear....

I've two ground wires, one from the driver cylinder head to the battery negative and other from the passenger cylinder head direct to the car body.

Will this be enough?
