Want to switch out the AM/FM radio for AM/FM 8 track player

My 76 cordoba has an am/fm radio in it, I would like to switch it out for same vintage am/fm 8 track player. Can this be done? Any idea what I might need to do to get this done? Wiring etc. It appears that the 8 track will fit no problem, but I am concerned about the wiring.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

You might need a new mounting plate for the radio check with places on line like Crutchfield or ebay if yours is factory It may just be plug & play. If speakers have been added then your on your own- IT is not a difficult job

THe period correct radio had the aluminum housing built as part of the radio. I have one for another car actually. It bolts right in and is 'plug and play' However not many of the 8 track systems have survived working so good luck finding one.

Cool

Like said before, plug & play. I may be convinced to let my working AM/FM/8track go?! The one in my Magnum is like new. If interested I can take pictures.

Or there is a couple on eBay.

Good shape AM/FM/8Track

Rough shape AM/FM/8Track

Thanks. The one I have does have the housing. So I hope its as easy as pluging and playing!
