1955/56 Dodge trunk torsion bar installation
Anyone know the best way of installing the torsion rods in the trunk? Is there a special tool for twisting the rods into position? Seems like it's a risk to getting injured if you don't do it right.
Not sure, but I think you position the non-U side of the rod in the slot and clip it into place behind the tab so it can't move. Making sure the middle of the rod is is positioned the bracket at the top of the trunk. Then twist the U end probably with a torsion tool of some sort. Anyone ever done one before? I can't find any videos, but hope to make one after I get it figured out.
