69 super bee

can someone tell me what the 2 front hood scoops were made of? is there anyway to tell if its an original hood? did the hood have cutouts under the scoops or just mainly for looks? thanks

The scoops (both hood and quarter scoops) were for looks only, non-functional.
(Unless you're referring to the ramcharger fresh air option (?))
The scoops will have a penstar and part # under them.
Your hood would have the holes that the scoops mounting studs protruded thru the hood to the underside of the hood.

Im not positive but IIRC, They were made of some type of plastic/fiberglass compound, I read about it somewhere but don't recall the exact name, I'm sure someone has the answer and correct me if I'm wrong,
But they were supposed to be heat, chemical and UV resistant.

I'm not sure if that helps or answers your questions (?)
