Are the rubber stoppers removable on a 1974 Plymouth Duster

Are the rubber bumper stops removeable on my 1974 Plymouth Duster? Here is a picture for reference

Are you talking about the front bumper guards, if so they can be removed but you will have to put new bumper bolts in a few holes.

They are called bumperettes and yes, they are removable. Chrome bumper bolts, similar to carriage bolts, would be used to fill the holes.

But let me tall ya a little story:

My 74 Charger has the same bumperettes from and back. My mechanic was after me to take them off, as it didn't have that "muscle car" look. OK, they stayed on - hey, I like them. A few years later while stopped at a light, going back to the guy's shop for an inspection, a nice little old lady decided to tap me on the rear. They work, so think twice before removing them.

I have more interesting stories, but like I said, think twice...
