Has anyone done a bumper tuck

i guess you would call it a bumper tuck where they shave the fender so that the bumpers fits closer to the car has anyone done this? Im curious what it would look like on a mopar i would like to do it to my road runner but wanted to see how much different it looked.

a bumper tuck involves sectioning the bumper correctly, filling in the holes for thr bumper bolts then refitting thr bumper and contouring the fender to accomodate the shape of the bumper. course youll have to weld on studs in lieu of the bolts and of course then there's the replating of the bumper. I assume your bird is a 68-70 vintage. would probably look good but maybe wouldn't be a dramatic difference as the bird bumpers fit fairly close already. Have not seen it done on a bird/satellite. Maybe Chip Foose did one on the show overhaulin but I cant remember.

I have a 72 the gap in between the front and rear is at least a inch that id like to take away. I am going to spend the extra dollar on restoration on the car when i get around to it. I wanted to go for a different look something original looking but not to noticable somthing to set it aside from the rest.
