would need those mentioned on title. I Have Dodge Polara 1960, been here in Finland since new. Was equipped with diesel engine at early 70's but I would like to bring my car back to original shape.

Thats going to be tough. Would suggest an aftermarket shifter and a later model trans along with your choice of engine..1960 trans will be hard to find even in the states.. I believe the 1960 trans was still cast iron

 

Yes, it was indeed cast iron back then. Any shifter would be OK as long as it can be fitted with pushbuttons.

Shipping to Finland is not necessarily that expensive. There is companies who import oldtimers from the US and shipping along with those is possible.

I need to check the shifting cables.

I can consider buying entire car Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth 1959-1962 with this package. Basically body beyond restoration but tecnically OK.

if the newer dodge dakotas ECT. are beeing shipped there may be you can find a good engine in the salvage yard. a mag 318- V6, with a O.D. trans.
