Carb
I'm not a fan of used carbs, a lot of the time your buying someone else's problems. I'd say pay up for a new one and get what you need. I've been using a Holley 9380 for 25 years on my Mopars, 850 DP annular discharge, 4 corner idle adjustment and no choke, no choke is why it's called a race carb. I've used it on 440s ranging from 400 to 650 hp. with the only modifications needed were two base plates, one as drilled throttle blades so the big motor can idle at 1700 rpm.. The annular discharge gives excellent throttle response, my Plymouth has run 1,43 60ft times, I let it idle at the light at hit the throttle on the last yellow.
I was talk into buying this carb by a good friend and fellow racer back when it was a very expensive carb now it's a deal with carbs costing twice as much. Here is the 830, but you can get it in a 750, 830 or 850.

I agree about used, if it's not worn shafts and have to bush then it's total rebuild kit to find cracked leaky body. I've been running about 50/50 success rate over the years.
