This is a 1957 Desoto Station Firesweep Shopper Station Wagon. In 1957, the DeSoto Firesweep was powered by the Dodge "Poly" 325 V8 with a 2bbl Stromberg down draft carburetor producing approximately 245hp. This model Includes the factory 3-speed push-button transmission as seen in the photos. The car has approximately 45,000k miles on the odometer but it is thought to have rolled over twice making it have 245,000k miles. The car was regularly driven and cared for when it was in use into the 80’s, then after experiencing an engine failure it was stored in a garage until the current day. The paint is original as are all body panels, the interior was redone when it was in operation, all windows are in good shape, the door locks and handles still work as does the hood latch, the rear window doesn’t roll down any longer so the operation of the rear gate isn’t known. The engine needs to be rebuilt as does the transmission. The axel is on the car but the driveshaft was removed but will also be included in the sale.
The car has a reported value of about $3,500 but I am unsure of the true value.
Let me know if there is anythig in the pictures that I did not mention or any information I may have incorrect
Please either send an IM or email me at bryanlha@gmail.com
Thanks
