1971 Challenger Convertible T/A Clone
Hey Folks. Its been a project car for me that never got finished. Now we are moving to SW FL and no room at the new house.
This was originally a one-owner, 318 car (red).
I bought it and lots of spare parts back in 1995 and never got it all the way.
Now has 440, 727/Slapstick. 3.32:1 Sure Grip rear.
T/A hood from original molds.
Needs some work including new fuel tank and associated hardware from old gas sitting for years).
Right rear frame where it meets tail panel needs repair. Floors and trunk are good.
Convertible top, well liner needs to be installed. Frame and motor all work well.
Some bright trim needs to be installed.
I would consider this E-Body to be approx. 75-80% completed.
This is not original engine or trans.
Started right up and ran strong (scary fast) although it has been about 6 years since I started it last...
This is a T/A clone based on old cover photo from The Paddock catalogs that originally caught my eye.
Has 1970 grill installed but I have the original 1971 grill also.
Lots of spare parts including 2 x gauges. One full gauge package with tach and clock.
Spare switch panels with switches (lights, convertible, etc)
Interior panels, . Lots of parts, I need to take inventory and list.
Many people look at it and say it reminds them of a full size Matchbox car.
I don't even know what to ask for it, but thinking $30K for everything.
I have always kept car in garage. I am in 21042.
Mike
