1966 Plymouth Belvedere ll hazards/turn signals

Hi everyone! I just bought a '66 Plymouth Belvedere ll and I'm having some trouble with the turn signal lights. Whether I hit the indicator up or down, instead of the correct light flashing, both do. As if the hazards are on. To top it off, I can't find a hazard switch anywhere. So I'm not sure if it's the turn signal cam in the colum that's bad, a faulty ground somewhere or just my ignorance of how the car works. I'm very familiar with classics in general but pretty new to mopars. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I live on any army base and this is my only ride! Thank you!

First thought is check the flasher. Also make sure you have all LED or incandescent, unless ... make sure your flasher says it will work with both. (or it will burn out quick)

I think I remember a really old pickup truck my Dad had you pushed the turn signal arm in to turn on hazards.

Good luck!
