1970 Dart 340
Hello everyone, newbie here looking for help. My father had a 1969 Dart Swinger 340 back in the early 70's, and now he wants one again. We're looking at a 1970 Dart 340 4 spd, but have no idea what it's worth. I don't know how to confirm it, but it's supposed to be an original 340 4 spd bucket seat car, with the original trans, but the engine and buckets replaced at some point. Seats are reupholstered, new carpet, dash pad, carpet, headliner. Car was repainted, motor rebuilt (trans untouched). The work was complete in 1998, car driven 4000 miles since. It was not done "frame off", but looks nice for a driver. The bad; rust spot 3x3" or so on one rocker panel, dime size on corner of trunk lid, one or 2 scratches, door interior panels a little ratty at bottom.
Can those of you familiar with Darts give me an idea what price range is reasonable for this car? Any idea where to look for others like it for sale? Thanks, Rob

Thanks, that gives me some idea. The guy had an appraisal from 3 years ago saying $20000, but I thought that seemed pretty high. Probably for insurance purposes. I have to say it would be pretty cool to ride in a blue and white 340 Dart, almost the same as Dad had back in the day. I like the 1970 model a little more than the earlier ones, the dual hood scoops are pretty cool!
