440 in a dart
440 in a dart
Can anybody tell me how hard it is to put a 440 in a 69 dart Will it fit ok or is it to much weight for the car. Will I be able to find exaust manafolds or headers for it with out selling my house. I know these usually have small blocks in them but I have a 440 with 727 ready to go.Thanks

Yes, a 440 will fit into a 69 dart WITH headers.
Contact this man, he's a personal friend of my dad and I.

Get his headers, mounts and torque strap. You'll be set to go!
It's a pretty straight forward swap honestly.

I hate to sound so generic, but do some Google. There are TONS of people who put B and RB into 67/ later Darts. While I don't think many were made, 383s were actually an option in 67. I'm not sure, but I think Grand Spaulding Dodge was the driving force behind B/ RB in Darts.

Mr Norm put the RB in 68 GSS's in 68, I've heard controversy saying he put 383's in 67 darts and that he didn't.
I don't think it's true though. But no one will ever know seeing as how all GSS records before the 70s were destroyed...
