Any thoughts on this car (63 dart convertible)?
First bidder turned out to be fraudster and I'm next in line. Drives ok apparently, some rust in the floorboards in the back (see pic below). Some interior work on the drivers side.
Wife was ok with this, now getting skittish.

Non stock engine also see pic.

I dont see any real problems other than it's a convertible. Cost more to fix the convert specific stuff and you know if there's a leak, thats a problem. But for a 46 year old conxertible, it dont look too bad. [kinda like me, I was born in '63] What are your plans for it?

No plans, really. Not sure I should get it honestly for that reason. I don't have a place to garage it so it will sit on the street in a wet climate, even if covered. And I'm handy on house repairs but a complete nube on car repairs. I'd probably just get the floor rust handled by a body shop, put a aftermarket carpet and floor mats in, and drive it around few times a week in Portland.
I think he's sealed the leak (with waterproof tape) and he says he has a replacement black convertible top.

converts are bad enough even more expensive when you use the word MOPAR Id stay away from a convert if your looking for a less expensive project, I mean the 63s are nice but there no 65 or 69 two of the best looking darts in my opinion, BUT I do love that interior If you buy the care you got to leave the red and white alone

Well the guy decided to keep it after my long list of wants. It's ok, I learned a lot from this site and will keep my eyes out in the future. I'm not sure the guy really wanted to sell in the first place!
I told him to join the forum. Thanks to all for the advice.
