is this dart worth the money?

It is a 1968 model. What do you think?

the engine is a 318, .030 over 9.5.1 comp., clevite bearings, melling high vol. pump, cloyes 3 piece roller timing chain/gears, 360 heads, comp. cam, edlebrock carb. and intake, headers. 904 trans.. 9 1/4 rear end. less than 100 miles on motor/ trans. Price is $3500. The hard work is done. With paint and interior this is a 10-12k. car easy

I have pictures; not sure how to post 'em. The car is straight, good bumpers,grill, glass. Needs interior.
I am new to Mopars. Is the "904" tranny a stock one for this year? And what about the 9 1/4" rear end? I didn't know they existed.

The 904 is a good tranny, parts are going to be harder to find for it. you could upgrade to a 727 which is more common.
The 9 1/4 rear axle was swapped in as Chrylser didn't start making them til the early 70s. They are a stronger axle than the 7 1/4s and 8 1/4s but not as good as the 8 3/4s and Dana 60s. It is plenty strong for what you have though.
What is there for rust/rot on the body? How is the truck and floor boards?

Thats is a Great Deal for a 68 Dart. I payed 5000 for my 60 Dart with a 318 and it also needs an interior. If the body, bumpers, Engine, Trany, chassis, Brakes, Susp, Steering, Under neath is good the Price is right. The only thing i need to do to mine is Interior and Re Chroming. There reliably cars.
