Driveshaft Problems after Engine Swap!!! Help???
I swapped out my 225 slant 6 engine out of a 1974 plymouth duster and dropped in a .30 over 318. I bought a 904 transmission and had it rebuilt, and after i bolted the transmission up, my driveshaft seems to be about 2 inches too long. I crammed it up there, but there is no play and it just doesn't seem right. I am not quite sure what to do. Anybody have any ideas on what is wrong? Hopefully I can get some answers. Might just have to take it down to the machine shop and have it shortened and balanced? Thanks for your time guys.

That's happens a lot with engine swaps; either too long or too short. You're going to have to take it to a shop that does drive shafts and have it cut to size (or have a new one made, they should use you're old U-joints).
Unless the shop will remove the drive shaft themselves, they will ask for very specific measurements.
