FOrd 8" into a 72 dodge dart

I heard that an 8" ford from an early 60s mustang would bolt right up but just want to confirm that.

yes it will. almost exaactly the same width. and you can get it with a 4.5 bolt pattern. 65-66 mustang or falcon etc. Good for a slant six or 318 project.
1967 is about 3 inches wider

Oh ok, thanks for the info theomahamoparguy! I have a friend that has an 8" out of a 66 mustang laying around so im gonna hit him up for that thens. Reson im asking ryan is i epically blew the 7 1/4 rear end in my dart a couple of days ago im in need of another rearend. I checked out the 8 1/4 dodge rear end but i just dont like the C-clilp design and non taperd bearings. I like hauling *** alot on curvy roads and putting alot of side loads on a C-clip design rear end, thats just asking for trouble and trying to find an 8 3/4 for an abody its redonkulous!

Im just not a fan of ford stuff in mopars. Im sure that you could take the driveshaft to a shop and they could cut off the end and weld on a new end with the rite u joint

I know that there are adaptor u-joints out there but where I'm not too sure. You might want to try a place like Tom Woods Shafts.

Then this means that a 9" from an early Stang will bolt into an A-Body...right?
