I used this software off the internet here:

I punch in "LH27 A69 XXXXXXX" and it says "A" is the code for the smaller 170 slant six! My Reg Card clearly says "Engine Capacity = 3,687cc" which must be the 225 as the 170 is around 2,800cc.

Is there a way I could confirm which engine i have in the car? I mean difference between the 225 and the 170?

I wouldn't trust that VIN deocoder 100%. I've used it before, but i just tried again. "My first 5 digits in my VIN is LH23F f = 318 Showed up to me as F = unknown.

 

Its OFFICIAL... she has the 170

Engine number (under 1st spark plug) :

170 11 24

Casting number on the block (under the manifold)

2463230-1

PS: Anything more I can find out from these two set of numbers?
