1963 Plymouth Valiant / 2 Door / White /170 ci Slant 6 Engine
Hello Mopar fans,
Here are pics of our 1963 Plymouth Valiant. We are still trying to determine if it is a V-100 or a V-200. It doesn't specify on the title or on any stock markings/tags on the body of the car.
A little history, at least what we know of at this point;
We bought the car for $2,700.00. We are the second owners of this beauty. It is all original other than the usual engine/electrical replacement parts for maintenance. We bought it in a town about two hours away & I drove it about 130 miles home without an issue other than the alternator being a bit weak, but it made it. Drives very good, nice tight sportscar handling, I didn't hear any squeaks, creaks, or pops while driving it. To be honest, it handles like the WS6 suspension does in a friends Trans Am.
Plans are to find a K member & steering linkage out of a 64-66 Valiant or similar that will accommodate a V-8, then swap in a 8-3/4" rear end out of another Valiant, Duster, Dart, Cuda, etc. Then once we have it setup right, I will be building a healthy 360 for it. Jess (my wife) got to choose the color to paint it, & she chose to paint it a Pearled Dark Turquoise with custom pin striping along the body lines.
Here are some pics of how it looks right now:

looks like a good car. i have a 67 valiant with the slant 6. you can make some power with the slant 6 with a set of headers and a good intake. and still get good gas milage with it.

Cool car.. For the K frame I would look for something later maybe 70's To get the larger ball joints, disk spindle for larger bolt pattern for disks brakes, newer style Idler arm... With your intended plans for a V8 trans plant would be a good investment.. You need to stop as well as go fast !! Then a 8 3/4 also with the larger bolt pattern...

Thanks everyone!
What vehicles would have a K member that would work in this application? We would like to find the most optimal K member & related parts to swap in for the V-8 swap. We may be acquiring a 383ci. engine & 727 tranny out of a badly wrecked Fury from a friend of ours to rebuild & swap in.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as good places to find replacement & aftermarket parts? I've seen a few things in Summitracing, Jegs, & JC Whitney, haven't found much more through google searches. Any advise would be greatly appreciated
