new to the mopar world

hey guys. im brand new to the mopar world and im looking for some help. i just purchased a 1974 duster with the 225 slant six. its an automatic, 8 3/4 rear end. could you guys tell me the pros and cons of this car and tips or things to look for while getting it running again. thanks. Jordan

You got a slant with a 8.75 rear??? which part's not original? I'll guess it's the rear...

ya it must be the rear end. i just picked up the car and currently going to start putting the starter, fan, and carb back on. anything i should know about this car/motor?

That motor is about as reliable as a sunrise! you can pretty much always count on it to be there for you. Pretty near indestructable. As for the '74 Duster, the only experience I have with it is one I owned in the early '80's, it too was a 225, but I had a "3 on the tree", it was a blast to drive till I needed the motor for a Demon, then the Duster became a parts car...
