Well, hello all! I have been around Mopars for years, from helping an old boss out with his 71 Charger that he used to run down the 1/4 mile to helping a friend work on his 80 Dodge 1/2 ton that ran high 11's (with a 400!)
I have been eyeing a 75 Duster sitting behind a local business for the last couple of years, and after seeing it looking so forlorn for so long, I decided to ask about it.
The owner of the car also owns the business it sat behind, and is also one of my company's major competitors, and was quite interested in getting rid of it. The asking price? I have to pull it out from where it sits, with no help from him. While it sounds rude, he was totally cool with everything. So, I went to check it out a few days ago and realized that it was not going to be an easy task getting it out from where it was. A Gleaner combine was sitting where the windshield used to be, and there was a 5 foot wide, 3 foot deep ditch behind it. RIGHT behind it. But hell, I wasn't passing up a free Duster!
So, long story short after a few HOURS of trying to keep air in the tires, and finding lengths of wood strong enough to support it, we got it out.
Good news, it's all there minus all the glass, it came with a spare 225 and the body is not horrible. The pass. side rocker is shot and the lower rear quarters are "swiss cheesy", but that's about it.
I am going to try and get the original 225 running after I find a carb (thank God someone had the foresight to properly plug the intake).

The bad: It has had no glass for quite awhile so the condition of the floorpans are questionable, after I get the interior gutted, I'll know more.

So there she is. A painfully stock, semi rough 75 Gold Duster. As soon as I get some pics of the rescue put onto the computer, Ill post them.
