Painting my '66 Vert...

Still work in progress, need to paint strip everything under the hood and the body need more sanding to bare-metal...

Here you go:

















Fenders are off the car and amazingly not even a SINGLE HOLE of rusted panel behind the front tires and inside the fender well... not bad for 44 yr old lady ay?...

Lots and lots of sanding....maybe find someone who can media blast it for you...it will save your arms..

Dont worry I have the powertool for sanding it down

Im hoping she will be something like this once all done (albeit with a RED top and red interior)

sprayed etch on the door and front fender, the rest will follow...





Sorry if im boring you guys with this restoration pictures Its my 1st real bumper to bumper restoration so im just a little excited...

Not bored at all. Wish my restoration moved at that pace. Mine is ready for paint and hope to complete it this winter. Its taken me nearly six years to get this far. Keep sending the pics, it inspires me
Note: Take care around those jack stands, steel on steel will slip quite easy.

Dont worry if you look closely, they are "welded" together - i needed a higher jackstand but dont have any so i thought what the h3ll can always fabricate and make use of what we have for now...
