Rallye dash

Hi all,

Can somebody explain to me the difference between a regular dash and the rallye dash? Anybody got pics of the two?

Thanks,
Marty

Leem -

In general (for B-bodies, anyway) the rally dash had circular gauges for the speedo, etc and the "old man" dash has the long rectangular speedo, etc.

Then there was the option of the clock, vs tach vs fuel/ammeter with the round gauges.

Thanks for the reply. My guess is that it is the same for the A bodies, based on what is in my Duster at present.

Duster and Demon used a version of the 67-69 Barracuda dash for the Rallye (340 cars). The '72 Demon and '73 and up Duster used a standard dash in all cars The Rallye has round gauge pods with the center one smaller, it housed either a blank plate or a tach.

Standart dash:

If you are going from one type to the other, you need the entire dash frame and wire harness also.

Yes, mine is the non rallye type. I see replacement inserts for non rallye types online that have all round gauges. The only thing I'm trying to find out from the vendor is if the pins are on the back to hook up my harness. Or do I have to get a whole new circuit board with the pins.

PG Classics in Canada sells the new dash bezels but no guage clusters. I replaced my three piece dash bezels in my 68 Dart with their stuff and I would buy it again. Check to see if they have the later model A body bezels.

71 B Body Ralley Dash

Hi all.

I have a 71 Roadrunner. I wanted to replace the the dash component I have now with a factory Tachometer, but can't seem to find one. I've seen them on GTX's of the same year, but not for Roadrunner's.

Anyone know where I can purchase one?

Thanks.
