Roof Rail weatherstrip rubber from Metro TOO SHORT!??

Received my roof rail weather stripping from Metro USA and upon installation found that the front pieces were about 2-inch too short (see pic). The same for the other side too...

Is it supposed to be this way? Or am I supposed to stretch it or something? Hmm... weird! It says '63-'66 A Body Convertible on the box:

Hmm...

I would contact them and send them the pics, see if they can make you some that actually fit.

They emailed me back asking what length do I need and they will cut to size and sent it. Funny that my channel is about 18-3/4" and they said it should be 15". Pics attached.

The answer seems obvious to me. Your steering wheel is on the wrong side!

Just kidding!

Possibly your export spec car is different in some dimensions.

I believe so too, 15" and 18-3/4 is like 20% off... Anyway, im still waiting for their reply on my latest email to them with the pictures.

On the steering wheel being on the wrong side, I remember my 1st time as a Uni student in the US in 1998. Bought a '92 VW Rabbit (golf) convertible with a stick-shift. Man that was a big mistake, driving in LA traffic having to change gears with the WRONG HAND (I was constantly rubbing the left door panel looking for the gear stick! ...) but needless to say, I survived till my graduation day :P
