Is the goal to have the lever on the transmission all the way back when at wide open throttle? The book is hard to follow.

I just installed new intake, and six pack on my 68 dart. I had to cut the rod going down to the tranny in order for the throttle to fully open. Anyone have any ideas. I have it rigged to where the throttle opens fully and the throttle pin is against the slot, and the kickdown rod is at it's stop, but when I drove it, it never kicked down. Any ideas?

Not sure why you don't like the locar, I had one on my 67 Coronet, worked just
fine. . The only difference that I see is the price has doubled since I bought mine- 10-12 years ago..

The

Bouchillon is Mopar. Lokar is Chevy and it bends back and fourth. I had one for about 15 minutes on my Dart when I saw the weak bracket moved back and fourth.

Have someone hold the carb all the way open (WOT) and see if your kickdown lever is all the way pushed back.
