Will a 440 and 727 fit in a '73 Dodge dart?

Looking to buy a '73 Dodge dart with a 225 slant six, wanting to to do a big block swap, is a 440 swap possible?

Welcome.

Search items like exhaust to get info, it has been done many time but is the one problem area. Headers are available for this swap but spark plug access on a few cylinders becomes difficult. How about a 400 low block with 440 crank for 451 cubes and a little more room.

Have a look around here: http://www.bigblockdart.com/

That's how I got into big blocks over 40 years ago, A body swap, now I would use a late hemi.

727 is almost a direct fit. many a duster had a 727 trans. With a 440 ? that adds a lot of different problems I would check into aftermarket suspension setups
