Can't decide which to buy. Help!

I have the option to buy a 1970 Plymouth Duster with a 440 bored 30 over or a 2006 Chrysler 300 SRT-8. I'm looking for power, but I'm also in need of a family car. Although insurance would be expensive, it wouldn't be for the Duster. I've always wanted a classic muscle car with the genuine classic engine lope. The 300 I could drive all the time, the Duster not so much. Both same price.

This right here tells me that you should go with the 300.

Welcome to the forum!

The 300 makes so much sense and will be fun, too!

A '70 Duster with a 440 would be a kick most of the time but, you'll be paying to drive it and for some reason, '70 Dusters just don't blend in with the crowd anymore.... lol

I have a situation myself in that I live in the SF/Bay Area, have 3 vehicles that don't 'blend in' with the crowd, and a work truck. If I'm going anywhere in the City, especially at night, where I have to park on the street or pay for parking in a parking lot, more than not I take the work truck because it doesn't attract the thieves or haters....

Something to think about.

I agree with Bob, The duster is not a family car it is a toy and with a 440 it is a fast toy...Bill

Being an old car fanatic, I'd still have to agree on the 300 for the family.
