Dana 60 install questions.

Hi.. I am new here but not new to owning a Dodge PW. I have had my 1977 W100 short box for years now and the front hub went bad, I was having issues finding a 1/2 ton hub however I ran up on a set of mid 70's 3/4 ton axles from a Dodge. My questions are. Will the stock rear drive line still fit with a simple u-joint replacement. Second are the u-bolt mounting plates the same as the ones on my half ton axle? I am sure these aren't new questions but, the internet is full of misleading info so, it's better to ask those who know. Thank you.

The nut cracked on me however, I found that a 1990's- early 2000's 2500,3500 front axle nut is the same. Mopar wants 100 bucks for it and they stock it. It looks like the hub will hook me up brother. Thank you again Iowan. Bill harleybill@q.com.

I'm not sure what happened to last weeks reply but, it's not here. My nut cracked when I took it apart. I found the nut at the dealer. It also fits 2500 and 3500 trucks. I just need a hub Iowan. Thank you.

I sold my truck about five years ago and thought I had a spare set of axles hubs and bearing retainers, but they must have gone with the truck because all I found was one bearing retainer. I did find a set of 906 heads I forgot that I had along with other things, sorry I can't help.

You know you have to much stuff when it takes you an hour to get five feet in the door.
