1985 Dodge w150 motor build

I recently bought a newish stock 318 motor and want to completely redo it and add some power to it. I got a pair of 360 heads for it but I’ve seen that I have to mill it some. How much do I need to mill the heads or would I be better off sticking with the 318 heads for making power?

I have had many 318s over the years and found that the stock 318 heads are just fine for making HP with a good 4bbl intake and carb and headers- the biggest problem I ever had was the exhaust - good headers and large pipes let the thing breath - got a 86 d150 right now with edelbrock 4bbl intake and carb and stock exhaust manifolds and duels - the thing runs strong enough to blister the big rears on the truck with out headers - but I can tell that the headers will be my next improvement - just my thought - jaxx
