Hey guys. I am cleanin up my 413 big block and it had 943 cheads on it. Im goin through the heads and i came to find wires running through the head in the water ports. Its on both heads and there are 2 wires. They look to be like a number 9 steel wire. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

 

Possibly the sand mold supports from when the heads were poured?
