1972 d200 newbie

Hey everyone, new to the forum and did a little searching around and like everywhere else I have tried there is little to no info to answer my questions. So the issue is I have a 1972 D200 quad/crew cab (full 4 door), with a ‘73 360la swapped in. I was able to decipher that it was originally a 318 truck. But the problem comes in that it is an old retired Air Force truck, so the vin after the first few normal digits makes no sense on what I have found, and since it is a Factory d series truck not a w series or power wagon there isn’t a whole lot of info out there that I can find. I want to do a basic maintenance and overhaul, but I am having trouble how to figure out what exactly I have under the truck, when I try to look up anything (I.e. brakes, wheel bearings, front end pieces, ball joints, rear end pieces, etc.) there are like 3 different drum brake sizes, 2 or 3 different front ends, etc. and trying to figure out what I have is hitting a brick wall. Any help would be great. I can try to post pics of the military data/spec tags later if that may help or if someone can point me in the right direction of a data base or search engine I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. I love the truck and really can’t wait to get it back on the road and ensure it will be safe to take out the kids and dogs.

Thanks in advance

It may come down to visually comparing each component with the available options of the time.
