1973 W100 snaps on body

Just acquired a 1973 short bed W 100. It has snaps installed on tailgate, sides up over the roof. Looks original? Anybody know if some came with a snap connected canvas cover? If so, anybody have picture of what they looked like??

Most of those where added back in the "Cool Custom Truck / Van" days.. These were before the glass hard covers.

Old School Snaps

Thanks for the response and link. It made sense to have the snaps on the bed, but these go over the top of the rear of the cab, so a Tonneau cover would have to be REALLY custom to fit on and stay in place with that configuration. As I get closer to working on the restoration of the truck I'll have to decide whether to remove them all or go with it and order a specially fit cover? Seems like it might look kinda funny with it not just on the bed???
