Hello, new member here with my first post

I recently bought a 1977 Dodge Power wagon W400. Overall, the truck is in good shape for its age. I have been doing minor repairs and replacements with a goal to get the truck ready for PA inspection. The parking / emergency brake was mostly missing but is now complete and working. This was a small fire truck and also had a hydraulic parking brake using the rear brake circuit. I wanted to replace all the hard and flexible brake lines and get rid of the extra parking brake for now. I'm working with a local NAPA parts store to get as much of the parts as I can. Anyway, I cut and removed the lines from the master cylinder to a manifold block with the brake pressure switch. The block is mounted directly below the master cylinder on the frame. There is a guide in between to keep the two hard lines coming from the master cylinder away from the steering shaft and exhaust manifold. I forgot to mark the two lines so I'm no longer sure which line from the master goes to the back and front ? Back port on MC go to back brakes and front go to front or visa versa.
I tried a search on here but didn't get any hits.
Don't have any photos on this computer but will post photos if needed.

Answer to your question: The larger reservoir of the master cylinder is usually the front part of the braking system.

My experience is, the front of the master to the rear and rear of the master to the front. I just double checked on mine and it's the way. I agree with racerhog

 

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. I crossed the lines up at the master cylinder as I had them the wrong way around.
