1978 Dodge D100 318 Carburetor

Hello, I bought my father's 1978 Dodge D100 (he passed). and I want to make it look great. I know he "did not" replace the carburetor of alternator and I wanted to do that. I want to keep it original but now I have been looking for these parts and those does not seem to be the same as in the parts manual. The truck was originally bought in Venezuela. I attached some pictures to see if someone can help me ID the carburetor or helps me pick a perfect replacement so that I do not have to do any modifications.
I will appreciate your help.

edit: I missed the detail on how your fuel line goes into the side of the carb instead of the front, this leaves me less confident on knowing what model your unit is. Could you post the number on the tag?

That is a Carter BBD. Their good simple units. It is application correct however I believe yours is an earlier version used on 1960s vehicles. There is a later version used on 70s vehicles I've seen sometimes nicknamed the "tin top" because it has a removable stamped plate on the top.

Carter never stamped numbers directly into their carbs, using tags held on by screws instead that usually get lost. Your looks to still have it's ID tag. You could use those numbers to get a rebuild kit if you'd like.

How well does your truck run now?

Here is an example of a later "tin top" Carter BBD.

Hello, thanks for such a quick response. I have been trying to find the information. I found some number in the "1978-1981-Dodge-LT-Duty-Truck" but those do not seem to match the picture.
The number is reads:
?.F.V.
446 104
CHRYSLER
F 77405 3096
