1986 Dodge D150 318 Auto 2wd Speedo Cable

Okay, had cruise at one point, was removed. 2 piece speedo cables. Purchased a new on for a non-cruise truck. Fit's great at Speedo portion, wrong size connector at transmission. Anyone ever run into this?

Thanks,
Bib

Looks to me that when you go to the non-cruise the transmission sensor uses a smaller fitting ? If that what the problem is?
If that's the case, maybe just buy the non-cruse fitting that goes into the transmission? Or find an adaptor to connect the two cables without the cruise servo.

Okay, I McGiver'ed it. Removed the sheath end of the new speedo to the trans. Removed the exact amount of ,sheath from the original, keeping the connector to the trans intact. Sleeved, tape and boom. Working like a champ.
