1990 Ram 150 4X4

So...I'm looking at a '90 Ram 4X4. it has a 5.9 motor in it with a 4 Spd. It's a very utilitarian truck with armstrong power everything. Is there anything I should look for when I give this thing the once over. As I understand it, service vehicles ( as this one appears to have been ) are usually well cared for.

Steering column slop. Body rust/rot at the cab corners and where the floor meets the back. Body mounts and radiator support. Also look for any cracks in the frame from under the seat to the front of the rear suspension.

Cool, thanks.

The steering column where the coupler is, he was going to replace. I didn't notice any rust, but the carpets were damp. I'll give the frame and core support the once over if I get the go ahead on the deal. He also has a couple 2dr 70's Darts that are in very rough shape. I'm hoping I can get the GF to let me pick up the whole shebang and build me a daily driver out of the '71 Dart. I'm willing to bet, with a weekend of work, the '71 would be a driver. Not very pretty, but a driver none the less...

Wet carpets..... I'd be willing to bet that it will need floor boards then.

I sent the guy a message asking for pix earlier this week...hoping that I could get my better half to approve the deal, but he had already sold it

Back to the hunt...

I realy want an extended cab anyway...and prefer a 3/4 ton.
