360 magnum swap

Hello everyone I have a 1995 ram shorted single cab with a 360 magnum I am looking to swap it into my 1984 d100 short bed single cab the 84 has a 318 with a 727 behind it they both are complete I do not plan on keeping it fuel injected is there any issues I might run into any additional parts I might need when doing the swap also wasn't sure if I could use one of the two torque converters I am going too have or if I would need to buy a new one thanks for any responses

I know this is an old thread but just in case you still need help:

I recently swapped a 360 Magnum into a 75 W Short Box.

- I had to swap to headers - stock manifolds were not going to seal on the Magnum Heads. That required grinding on the center mount bosses on both sides to clear Hookers.

- You do need to double check the converter. The Magnum 360 has a weighted flex plate so you need to go with a neutral balanced torque converter.

- If you want to run a mechanical fuel pump you'll need to use the timing cover off your LA block.

- The intakes don't swap so if you want to make your Magnum donor a throttle body you'll need an aftermarket intake.

- The big starters are a pain to fit. With my headers there was no way. I swapped to a mini starter.

- I used the serpentine drive system off the magnum. My understanding is that the LA accessories all fit though.

- There is something odd about the 318 mount brackets. I actually had a set on my LA 360. You have to flip them around a bit, was a nuisance but I got them to work again.
