'78 Warlock Questions

I recently purchased a '78 Warlock (D-150) and have some questions that I hope others can help with.

I've seen a lot of Warlocks/Lil Reds with chrome strips in the bed and I've also seen them with body color paint. What is the correct finish for a Warlock? Mine are body color.

A few guys have told me the front turn signal lights in the '78 were amber yet I have also read where they were clear with amber bulbs. Anyone know which are correct? Mine are clear with amber bulbs (and have Chrysler P/N's on them).

Does anyone know where I can find the equipment list ID codes for a '78? I know they differ by years and can't find a link anywhere to a site that has this info.

Thanks for any insights.

I have a 1977...... As far I know....
Painted bed strips.
Front lens, as far as I know I have seen both, But clear is what you see most of for the warlock, Lots of amber for STD. model trucks, kind of one of those change over years, So if they run out in production you know what your going to get.
As for the I.D. code. The Build sheet that came with the truck under the drivers seat. But good luck with that one.. As for a good listing, I have not found a good solid one as of yet.
Keep us posted... Hope yours got a 360 in it?...

Thanks for the help. The truck appears to be mostly original as far as I can tell. It originally came from SoCal (numerous LA area service stickers under the hood). The only part that I know is non-original is the driver's seat bottom - it's been recovered where all the other seats appear original. It is a 360. Someone did add a 4 barrel intake and carb though (so that's not original either).

Mine is not all factory ether. Mine is a daily driver!!! I'm in So-CAL... If I put this truck back to stock as a warlock looking like a warlock, someone would steal it for sure... So I keep it like a wolf in sheep's clothing...

Mine looks great from 10' but as you get closer you see that it also is a driver. These are really great looking old trucks. I have the original rims that came with the truck and the correct steering wheel. Both need work if I want to put them back on the truck. Somebody before me blacked out everything (dash, side steps). I like the blacked out dash but I'll rechrome the side steps over the winter. Given this truck also came from SoCal - maybe they were going for the stealth look as well! I like your blacked out grille look. I've been thinking about doing that instead of having mine repaired/re-anodized (it would be a LOT cheaper).

Funny... I went with the same steering wheel...lol
The black Dash Bezal is the rite color... Mine came black.. So your good on that.
I painted the grill because i had this truck in a few sand storms and it blasted it good. The good thing is,, you can still get them.

Also I changed the mirrors... I just could not tow anything with them small factory mirrors...lol The ones I chose where the GM Van mirror..

Also, Nice to see you have A/C in yours... Mine was ordered with out it.... Man, That has been tough to live without all these years... I'm the 3rd owner of this truck. I picked it up in 1980.
