83 dodge 318 dies once it warms up
My 83 dodge prospector with 318 runs good untill it warms up ,after 4-5 minutes starts to sputter like running out of gas.I have new fuel pump and glass filter, and can see plenty of fuel in filter, has electric choke that seems to be working properly, flap shut when starting cold and opens to straight up and down when it warms up.I have new eldebrock 4 bbl intake and carb, new wires ,timed at around 12 degrees btdc.runs good for a few minutes in drive ,and once it starts to act up wont pull itself up drive-way.anyone know what this could be ?thanks JD,
An engine only needs 4 things to run. Air, fuel, ignition, and compression. Figure out which one of those is absent and youll find your problem. I would start with the ignition since most heat dying issues are traced to coils or other electronic parts.
