Engine swap on a 76 power wagon
Hi all,
I have a 76 4x4 power wagon that has a 225 slant six with a 4 speed manual. The slant finally died so I was looking to do an engine swap. I've got a 400 builder or a ready to go 360. Anybody know what kinds of problems I'm gonna have getting my manual to bolt up to either of these? I've heard trying to find big block manual stuff is near impossible and I'm not trying to break the bank on this one. Thanks!

Maybe Advance Adapters? Give them a call/email, they probably have something. That being said, i think the 360 is plenty for a setup like that with a manual. Is it stock or warmed up? The extra torque of the 400 might be nice but it's a lot heavier and 5.9 parts are almost free everywhere.

Build a stroked 360 and enjoy the torque....
