Need help with Vin and engine decoding

Any help is appreciated! The previous owner said it was a 72' truck but It has dual headlights and I didn't think a 72 had them.

That does not make any sense. Because the last year of it was 78-79 right?

I looked at the date closer and I can't tell if it's a 1988, 86 or 66 but the 6430 block is supposed to be a late block.

Are they any good by chance. What I've done. I've jumped the gun on the built and now Im realizing everything and pretty confused. Plus with no knowledge on anything about it. But what I've thought about now is just going with a aftermarket head for street/ drag
