Judging from this diagram I got for my series of truck, I believe that wire connector is shown in the diagram as the two little white boxes leading to the reverse light switch. With that being said, and if my diagram is accurate to my truck, I'm not sure why a green and white wire can be found down there on that frame rail.

Running up the frame rail next to the transmission I found this wire connector with a red wire w/black tracer, a black wire, and a green wire w/ white tracer.

One of the first things I read to look for on a 4speed was to ensure I had a good reverse light switch. However, not being familiar with this truck I'm not exactly sure, but is the highlighted area the hole where a reverse switch should thread into the housing?
